Universal Orlando Resort
More rooms and spaces, even better meetings
Orlando’s most exciting meeting and event
destination is about to add even more experiences, with resort-wide grand openings and
renovations debuting this year and beyond.
Perhaps the biggest news for groups: The
Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will become
Universal Orlando Resort’s fifth on-site hotel
when it opens in 2016.
Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will offer
the complete meeting package for groups
of all sizes. Meeting spaces will include a
41,000-square-foot ballroom, 16 meeting
rooms, three dedicated meeting-planner
offices, and 11,000 square feet of outdoor
meeting space. The property comprises
1,000 guest rooms and suites, and 115,000
square feet of meeting and function space
connected to Loews Royal Pacific Resort.
Speaking of the Loews Royal Pacific
Resort, the property just completed a
55,000-square-foot expansion of its meeting
facilities this fall. The new ballroom and four
new meeting rooms bring the resort’s grand
total to 132,000 square feet of meeting and
function space. The resort has also updated
its guest rooms with new furniture and décor.
Several of Universal Orlando’s other
hotels are sporting a new look. The guest
rooms at Loews Portofino Bay underwent
a complete renovation in 2014, and the
premier luxury resort has never been more
stylish and inviting. The Hard Rock Hotel
completed renovations of its meeting space
in 2014, as well as the lobby and guest rooms
in early 2015. But whichever on-site resort
hotel meeting planners choose for their
meeting or event, they can be confident that
their attendees will experience the epitome
of comfort and convenience.
Now more than ever, Universal Orlando
Resort offers meeting and event options
not found anywhere else in Orlando, from
pre- or post-meeting theme-park excursions
to evening events held in one of Universal
City Walk’s many nightclubs and restaurants.
Universal Orlando Resort is also only four
miles from the Orange County Convention
Center, 12 miles from downtown Orlando, and
15 miles from Orlando International Airport,
giving groups easy access to all of Central
Florida’s major attractions.
